About these terms

These terms govern your use of ellithy.com and the Ellithy mobile application, operated by شركة الليثي للاستيراد والتصدير, trading as Ellithy Cars. By using the service you accept them.

Our privacy policy forms part of these terms. Read it as well — it explains what we do with your data.

What Ellithy is

Ellithy is a marketplace. We publish vehicle listings and put buyers and sellers in contact, and we offer inspection, financing and insurance services directly or through partners.

We are not a party to any sale agreed between a buyer and a seller through the platform. No payment for a vehicle is taken through the service.

Your account

An account is created with your phone number and a one-time code. You are responsible for the number you register and for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it.

You must be 18 or over to use the service.

Listings you publish

• The vehicle must be real, and yours to sell or advertise.
• Details and photos must describe that vehicle accurately, including its condition and price.
• Do not publish another person's contact details, or content you have no right to use.
• We may decline, edit or remove a listing that appears inaccurate, misleading or unlawful, and may suspend an account that repeatedly does so.

Your content, and the permission you give us

The photos and descriptions you upload stay yours. By publishing them you confirm you have the right to do so, and you give us permission to host, resize and display them on the platform and in listings shared from it, for as long as the listing is published and for a reasonable period afterwards in our records.

A listing records the seller name shown on it at the time it was published. That name stays attached to the listing, so it may survive changes to your profile; deleting your account clears it.

Everything else on the service — the site, the app, our text, design and branding — belongs to us and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Inspection, financing and insurance

An inspection reports on a vehicle's condition at the time it is examined. It is an expert opinion, not a guarantee about future condition or a warranty.

Financing and insurance offers are provided by partner institutions, subject to their approval and their own terms. We introduce you; we do not decide the outcome.

Content and conduct

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other users' accounts, no automated scraping of listings, and no use of the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages.

Do not use the service to break the law, to impersonate someone, or to interfere with how it works for anyone else.

Availability

We work to keep the service available, but it is provided as it is. We may change or suspend parts of it, and listings depend on information supplied by the people who post them.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for running the platform with reasonable care. We are not responsible for the condition, ownership, legality or value of a vehicle listed by someone else, for what a buyer or seller does or says, or for a partner's decision on a financing or insurance application.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service the claim relates to, or 5,000 EGP if you paid us nothing.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit or lost opportunity.

Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against us because of a listing you published or content you supplied — for example, that it was inaccurate, or that it infringed their rights — you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur as a result.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from the app or the website. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

The clauses that are meant to survive do: what we are responsible for, your responsibility to us, and governing law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will make it visible on the service rather than rely on you noticing the date.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

If something goes wrong, contact us first through the contact page on ellithy.com — most matters are settled that way. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be heard by the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.

The rest

If one clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms, with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service. If we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
